Day 22 - Jakers
You aren't cool unless you wear a diaper on your head!
(and yes, my living room is a complete disaster area filled with toys!)

Day 20 - Sweet Potato and Ginger Soup
This is Sweet Potato and Ginger Soup that I made up as I went along. It turned out pretty well. Now I just need some fresh bread to go with it!

Day 19 - Disney on Ice
Tonight I took Natalie to Disney on Ice and we had so much fun! First we went to the Princess Dinner at the venue then went upstairs to our seats.

Day 18?
I'm back...!
I was planning on making sweet potato soup and taking pictures... but instead I peeled part of my thumb off (damn potato peeler!) so... no soup!
Instead, here is a picture from last week when my son had surgery to remove his hemangioma.

Computer Issues
I'm not a slacker... honest! I am having computer issues once again. The tech from Dell thinks it is a motherboard issue that has to be repaired :S
Once the computer is back to its old self (well, hopefully better than that) I will be up and running again. But, for now, no pictures from me.
Sorry!

Day 15 - More Baking
I am holding a bake sale at work on Monday to raise money for the Relief efforts in Haiti. I am donating all of the money collected to the Canadian Red Cross.
Cherry Tarts, Lace cookie roll up things and soft lemon cookies.
Day 14 - Children's Museum
Saturday we ventured to the Children's Museum for a family outing. It was Natalie's birthday so we went there then to Boston Pizza for supper. She had so much fun!

Day 13 - Natalie Baking
Here is our little princess enjoying baking a cherry pie! She absolutely loves cherries, so most of them get eaten before the pie is finished.

Day 12 - I miss the Sun!
Tonight I am posting pictures we took in Cuba on our Honeymoon. (hey, I never said the pictures had to be taken the same day!)
I am thinking warm, sunny thoughts tonight...

Day 11 - Jacob
Since yesterday I posted a pic of Nat, today is Jake's day!
We went to the pediatric plastic surgeon today to fill out forms and discuss his surgery. He will be getting his hemangioma removed. Here is a before picture, all covered in food! lol

Day Ten - Natalie
My picture today is of my super cute daughter Natalie. She will be four this weekend. It is hard to believe she is that old already! She hates her picture being taken, so this is her "take your damn picture and go" look.

Day Nine - Diaper Sprayer
My friend wanted to see how my diaper sprayer was hooked up, so I thought I would take pictures and post them here!
Diaper sprayers are a must-have for anyone who cloth diapers a baby on solids! Breastmilk is easily taken care of in the washer, but solids have to be rinsed off first. A diaper sprayer makes life easier! It is also handy for spraying out a potty ;)
Please ignore the super ugly tile and vinyl lol We need to redo the bathroom!
I guy that I work with had fun putting this together for me at the store. I showed him some online and he came up with this. It works great and even has a control lever thing (not sure what to call it) to turn it off. So when the kids decide it might be fun to squeeze the button nothing comes out! Or just adjust the pressure of the water you spray (to avoid it spraying back in your face! lol)

Day Eight - Lasagna!
Tonight Natalie and I made some sloppy but oh so good homemade lasagna for supper! Yum!
Not quite food magazine worthy, but it tasted so good!
Day Seven - Fun outside
I took pictures yesterday, I just forgot to post them! Oops!
Here are pictures of the kids playing outside. Yesterday was a beautiful day outside! Not too cold, lots of sun and no wind!

Day Six - Jake
I'm straying from the cooking theme tonight because I like this picture ;) He was upset because he couldn't open the fridge to get his milk.

Day Five - Wine
So I am feeling lazy so no baking or cooking tonight. Instead, I enjoyed some wine that we have in our cold room. Left overs from the wedding!

Day Four - Chips
Tonight... Chips!
The second batch I forgot about so they are a little burnt... oops!

Day Three - Doughnuts!
Well, I am sure glad I didn't have the "I am going to lose weight" resolution!
First Cheesecake... now doughnuts! YAY! (maybe I should do this theme every week for my pictures!)

Day Two - Cheesecake
I have decided to do themed weeks for my Project 365... hopefully I can come up with 52 themes!
Since my first picture was do to with cooking, I will continue with the cooking/baking theme. Tonight I decided to attempt making my first cheesecake. It is currently baking and I am not too confident that it will turn out well, but we will see!
My first picture: A work in process
The Final Result:
Not too bad, a little messy and rough looking... but it didn't taste too bad!

Day One
Today I made Chicken Soup from scratch for the frist time ever. I kind of made it up as I went based on what I had read in various recipes. It didn't turn out too bad. The only thing I would change is the meat I used. I used cheap chicken that was "great for soup" when I should have just gone with a whole chicken as almost all of the recipes say to.
Here are pictures of the process:
and... Crosby whining for a taste of Chicken
Ingredients I used:
Chicken, on the bone
1 Leek
2 Onions
3 Carrots
2 Celery Stalks
1 cup frozen corn
2 cups frozen green beans (french style)
2 cups alphabet pasta
Thyme, Salt and Pepper to taste
What the heck am I doing?
I have decided to join the Project 365'ers on London Moms and start my own. I am going to take a picture every day and post about it.
Doesn't sound hard at all, but we will see once February hits when most people quit thier New Years Resolutions.
Is this my New Years Resolution? I guess it could be one. I tend to forget to take pictures and later look back and wonder why I didn't take a picture for a certain event. This will help me remember to take all the pictures I can of my family so we can look back on all of them and remember every day things we did (whether it made us laugh or cry), not just big events.
My "real" New Years Resolution though is to take more time for myself. Having two young children, working full time as well as running a Regal business on the side tends to take up a lot of time. I have decided to do more things that I enjoy and give me "me time" so de-stress and become a better wife and mother.
I guess these two resolutions could be related sometimes.
